Navy Challenge Coin. This Coin is 1.75 diameter or 44mm. The Front has the United States Navy Insignia and the back has the Navy Insignia,Flag and Fighter Jet. The history of challenge coins goes all the way back to the Roman Empire. Coins where presented for act of bravery or doing well in a battle. Later, Soldiers were rewarded coins for actions in battle and the coin were used to purchase drinks. The coin would be slammed down on the table when presented.
